General Description

As an interior and landscape designer, the focus of this shopping center is based on creating an integral sensory experience, where architecture, nature and habitability dialogue harmoniously. The project proposes a new commercial space model that prioritizes user wellness, connection with vegetation and a sober, contemporary and sophisticated aesthetic.

Materials and Finishes

The structural base is mainly composed of exposed concrete, present in walls and slabs, allowing an honest expression of the material and reinforcing its timeless character. Tempered glass railings provide visual lightness and transparency, favoring spatial continuity. In circulations, natural stone and cobblestone floors provide texture, warmth and high traffic resistance. The metallic structure of the upper dome articulates zenith light entry and cross ventilation, contributing to generating a comfortable and sustainable interior microclimate.

Style and Composition

The architectural language combines elements of contemporary brutalism with a biophilic aesthetic. The forms are frank, with angular and repetitive lines, softened through constant vegetation integration. The interplay of levels, terraces and walkways creates a dynamic vertical journey experience, while fostering spaces for pause and contemplation from multiple perspectives.

Vegetation and Landscaping

Hanging vegetation is conceived as the protagonist element of the project. Perennial climbing species and native plants adapted to a semi-interior environment were integrated, such as Philodendron, Pothos, ferns and Ficus repens, which wrap the architectural edges and blur the boundaries between the built and the natural. Ground floor planters function as visual filters and journey articulators, while the central interior garden was designed under organic landscaping principles, incorporating soft shapes, natural stone and integrated paths.

Lighting and Atmosphere

Natural lighting, carefully controlled through zenith openings and large windows, defines a warm, diffuse and changing atmosphere throughout the day. At night, spot lighting in warm tones emphasizes natural textures and vegetation without competing with them. The lighting design seeks that each space transmits calm, comfort and sophistication.
